  1. Tops in elementary education and teacher training: Since 1895, National Taipei University of Education is the cradle of training elementary school teachers.

About

The National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) was inaugurated in 1895, 16 years before the Republic of China was founded. NTUE, known as National Taipei Teachers College, was renamed to its present title on August 1, 2005. 

At present, NTUE comprises 3 colleges, namely Education, Humanities and Arts, Science, 16 departments, 18 graduate schools, offering 22 master's programs, 21 in-service master's programs, and 3 Ph.D. programs. The land capacity of the university is about 7.5 hectares and current student enrollment is around 5,800. The number of full-time faculty is 210. 

Our continuing education programs are widely acclaimed. 

Chinese Language Education Center (CLEC), a subsidiary of NTUE, was founded in the winter of 2006 for teaching Chinese as a second language. 

NTUE continues to be the cradle of training elementary school teachers. We strive to be an excellent and innovative university specializing in teachers training and educational research.

1.Master’s Program of Business Administration in Southeast Asia

    The Master’s Program of Business Administration in Southeast Asia was established to cultivate management talents needed for Taiwanese firms to expand and develop Southeast Asian markets. We aspire to become an important training base in the country to nurture foreign elites for Taiwanese companies.

  Program highlights

  • A comprehensive curriculum instructed in Chinese, with a focus in Southeast Asian business operation and management.
  • A career-oriented curriculum delivered in collaboration with experienced teachers in the field to ensure practicality.
  • Perspectives into Chinese society and culture to cultivate intercultural communicators.
  • Course work which includes a practice-oriented master’s thesis or technical report that solves workplace problems.
  • Internship opportunities in local and overseas firms, propelling students to begin their careers upon graduation

 2. Master of Arts in Critical and Curatorial Studies of Contemporary Art 

  • The CCSCA program aims to provide students with a critical and practical understanding of the diverse isssues, contexts and histories of contemporary art and curating, with a particular focus on Taiwan, Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.
  • The five modules of CCSCA – art history, art criticism, curatorial studies, museum studies and creative industries – are designed to offer students a critical and comprehensive understanding of contemporary art and curating from different vantage points around the globe, with an emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region. These modules will enable students to develop a familiarity with the work of major art scholars, critics and curators, art history’s interpretive methods and models, different forms of critical writing and the history, theory and practice of exhibitions and curating.
  • Along with interactive seminars, lectures and tutorials, the program is also organised through workshops, international exchanges, internships, excursions and an overseas study trip so as to provide students with an integrated learning experience wherein art historical and theoretical resources are applied to the diverse contexts of art and curating in the region.

3. International Master's Program of Learning and Instruction

  • The International Master's Program of Learning and Instruction focuses on learner-centered instruction, learning theories and strategies, mobile learning, and learning assessment. International students who hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent are welcome. All courses are held in English. No TOCFL or Chinese tests  required.
