The mission of STUST is to pursue academic excellence in both technological fields and in the humanities.   1. Tuition Fees: Approximately US$1,850/Semester: College of Engineering and Information Management related departments/programs. Approximately US$1,600/Semester: College of Business; College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  2. Dormitory fees: Four-person university dormitory, each student pays for his/her share of US$1,200 per year. Off-campus housing ranges from US$150 to US$350 per month excluding utility bills and depends on how many people share the flat/apartment.
  3. Insurance Fees: Approximately US$300 per year
  4. Application Fee for Alien Resident Certificate (ARC): Approximately US$35 per year
  5. Meals, daily commodities, entertainment, etc.: Approximately US$3,000 per year
  6. Internet Fees: Approximately US$30 (One-time fee)
  7. Computer Lab Fees: Approximately US$30 per semester (if taking related courses)
  8. Language Lab Fees: Approximately US$30 per semester  (if taking related courses)

Note:

  1. If you receive a Tuition Fees Waiver scholarship for master's or undergraduate, then you do not have to pay No. 1, but you will be responsible for fees from No. 2 to 8.
  2. If you receive the Ph.D. scholarship with Tuition Fees waived, Dorm Fees waived, plus a monthly stipend of NTD 10,000 (equivalent to US$4,000 per year). You will still be responsible for fees from No. 3 to 8.
  3. If receiving government scholarships(DIKTI, BUDI, and others), you have to all fees.

Scholarships

STUST provides the following scholarships for applicants with good academic performance who are not receiving financial aid from the Taiwan government or from their home country. A scholarship will be canceled if you are awarded grants or scholarships from other organizations.

Types of Scholarships

A. Undergraduate

  1. Full tuition waiver
  2. Half tuition waiver.

B. Master’s: Full tuition waiver

C. Ph.D.

  1. Full tuition waiver, a full grant for on-campus housing, and a stipend of NTD 10,000 per month or
  2. Full tuition waiver and a full grant for on-campus housing
