About

Established in 1958, China Medical University (CMU) in Taichung, Taiwan, has since developed into one of the world’s premiere medical research universities with 9 colleges in total: College of Medicine, College of Chinese Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Life Sciences, College of Public Health, College of Health Care, College of Dentistry, College of Humanities and Technology and College of Biomedical Engineering. CMU has three major campuses in Taichung and Beigang. Its Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited hospitals have a total of over 6,000 beds, and it is the second largest healthcare system nationwide providing the superb service and education of western and Chinese medicine. CMU is ranked as one of the top 300 universities by Academic Ranking of World Universities 2021 and one of the top 100 universities by 2021 THE Asia University Rankings.   • Tuition and Fees:
    Graduate Program: NT$48,394-61,409 (≒US$ 1,738-2,206) /per semester
    Undergraduate Program: NT$56,956-144,458(≒US$2,046-5,189) /per semester
     
  • Accommodation Fees:
    NT$ 8,300-25,500 /person/semester (≒US$298-916)

  • Living Expenses:

Scholarships

  • For international Ph.D. students
    (1)Tuition waiver for 2 years.
    (2)A monthly stipend of NT$ 20,000 for 1 year.
    (3)The mentors of Ph.D. students will provide the monthly stipend starting from the 2nd year.
    (4)Outstanding Ph.D. students can compete for the Elite PhD Scholarship up to NT$44,000 per month for four years.
    (5)President Scholarship is also available for Exceptional Ph.D. students.
     
  • For international master students
    (1)Tuition waiver for 1 year.
    (2)Best qualified students only: A monthly stipend of NT$ 10,000 for 1 year.
    (3)President Scholarship is also available for Exceptional Master students.
     
  • For Full-time international students who have completed 1 semester of study at CMU can compete for a scholarship of NT$10,000-50,000 every semester.
